I just read this over on Todd Bishop's blog
It looks like Microsoft employees driving past downtown Bellevue to Redmond will soon be able to gaze upon a big "Yahoo!" sign, if they're so inclined. Yahoo has signed a lease for 115,000 square feet in Bellevue's One Twelfth @ Twelfth complex. The space, to be occupied in stages over the next year, would give Yahoo enough room for 500 to 600 employees.
This is perfect. I was holding back on my latest idea for the deciding supremacy in the search wars, but now seems like the right moment to put it out there: Trial by Combat. Or, football (soccer) to be precise. I think that next year we should hold a 3 team competition: Google v Yahoo v Microsoft. Everyone will be a home team, so no turf advantages.
How about trial by combat badminton? That's something I'd like to see. The racquets have circuits that periodically electrify the net. The birdies are blasting caps so if it hits the electrified net.. Maybe I shouldn't be posting comments right after playing Battlefield 2.
