Briefly, TechCrunch posts about the rapid growth of AddThis button use (AddThis provides a one stop shop for placing posting functionality on blog posts allowing readers to digg, reddit, del.icio.us, etc the post they are reading). I posted earlier about the use of trend search on BlogPulse to monitor the inclusion of direct buttons (individual buttons to the services mentioned). The graph below shows the trend for 'addthis.com/bookmark.php.' While AddThis appears to have had a peak at 0.009% of all blogosphere posts, del.icio.us was recently tracked at 0.25% a huge difference. Interestingly, AddThis claims 2MM clicks per month - do we conclude that del.icio.us gets 100s of millions of clicks per month?
