I intend to write a longer post about my BlogBurst experience later. However, for now, I'd like to report that the model seems to work. BlogBurst has a catalogue of blogs which it makes available to non-blog online publications. These publications include post information (headlines) on their sites according to a selection they make from the catalogue. So far, I'm seeing something of the order of 100:1 headline impressions to click throughs to the post. In other words, for every 100 impressions the headline for my blog post gets on the syndicating site, I get 1 click through to the post on my blog.
Awww, you are stealing our thunder for this week's announcements. :-) The key is keeping the ratios intact and scaling things way up. Anectdotally (interviewing bloggers who have been picked up so far) are seeing 15-30% click through rates from the full-post views to the original blog so it is very promising. We are going to start tracking this across the board through the software too.
