The final closing of Borders stores (today is their last day) will present an interesting test for web and local search engines. How long will the ghosts of Borders past remain trapped in the limbo of web indices and local data provider feeds? {bookshops seattle} has a Borders at position 3 on Google and position 1 on Bing.

I've found the same with a lot of directory sites, the closed businesses don't get purged. I once spent an afternoon looking for a cigar shop only to find it have moved twice since the address I was looking for
