Sascha Segan posted one of those link baiting posts, with a title like that for this post, in which he heralded the end of something – in this case, Usenet: R.I.P. Usenet 1980-2008. How wrong he was! This assuming that usenet declines in the linear fashion, which it probably doesn't.
By the same model in 2015 people would start erasing their own posts.
My belief that it will decline much slowly, and either linger around forever or just get shutdown by the ISP providers.
