BBC Stats on 9/11

The BBC has an interesting interactive page up which displays statistics describing a number of pre- and post-9/11 areas (defence spending, air travel, presidential ratings, hate crimes and articles mentioning Bin Laden). The visualization displays key events and allows for drill down to descriptions of those events.

This graph shows the doubling of US defense spending.

This graph shows the downward trend of media attention to Bin Laden.
