Sphere is Yodel and Waypath
Battelle points to Malik about Sphere. It turns out that Sphere based on the original Yodel Inc blog search engine I posted about a while back, but they have taken the two founders of Waypath on board as well. Waypath were doing incredibly innovative stuff a looong time ago (including some trend graphs), but always looked to be running on empty. Yodel Inc had a great advisory team behind them (including Mary Hodder). My guess is that these people are going to have a big impact on the relevance portion of blog search, comming at it from a community point of view.
On a related note, I've got a beta account on TailRank (thanks Kevin!) and hope to post on it very soon.
No problem dude... Might want to wait until Beta 2 if you're going to blog about it as I think we'll be more feature complete by then. Up to you...
